Prelude serves as the overture to The Ascensionist, summarizing the journey so far by reworking one track from each of the seven previous RANGES albums. These are not remixes for novelty—they are reflections. Echoes cast backward from a higher vantage.
The artwork introduces the figure who will become known as The Hero—the central character of the unfolding narrative. His full emergence arrives later, in the music video for The Ascensionist, but his shadow is already forming here.
Visual design elements also call back to AB SA RO KA (2014), subtly establishing the true point of origin. The journey begins here—not because this is the beginning, but because this is the moment of awareness.
The past is not behind.
It is beneath.
